I had always been committed to working with others in recovery, and becoming a Coach offered an opportunity to combine my passion for helping others with my experience facilitating personal growth. In 2018 I began my coach training and in the fall of 2019 I was accredited as a Certified Professional Coach. I founded Your Purpose In Recovery specifically to help other people in sobriety create meaningful and fulfilling lives for themselves. For me, it took a lot of trial and error, and quite a few discouraging attempts that led nowhere. When I think back on the years I spent unsure of what to do, or which way to turn, I recognize how helpful coaching could have been for me. My hope is that I can help you avoid some of the pitfalls and dead ends that I experienced on my journey so you can find your purpose and direction more quickly and with less frustration. When I got sober as a teenager in 1995 I had no idea what I was going to do next. Luckily, I didn’t have to know, I was a kid. I hadn’t even finished high school yet. Over the next 25 years I had lots of jobs and explored various career options, but I never found my niche.
